Bridging teams to deepen impact

In this visioning project, we brought together teams from Gap Inc. and Athleta to explore how they might deepen the impact of Athleta’s mission to empower women and girls to build strength, confidence, and wellbeing through movement. 

Among Gap Inc. brands, Athleta is the leader in purpose among Gap brands, being the only B Corp and creator of the Power of She Fund and Collective. Gap Inc. has also empowered 1.4 million women and girls globally through its long-standing P.A.C.E / RISE programs. We looked at how these efforts could intersect for greater impact.

Where community impact and brand story meet

We built a foundation of insight for this early strategic exploration, drawn from our own expertise, landscaping and interviews with thought leaders in women’s economic empowerment. We then designed and facilitated working sessions with ESG and Athleta brand teams to find areas of shared inspiration and alignment.

Working in close partnership with executive leaders from both Gap Inc. and Athleta, we created a springboard for further action: core values, a programmatic model, a brand story and a road map for further investigation and implementation.
